Windows Domotz Agent Manager - Available to be downloaded   08/02/18

We are glad to announce that we have completed the development of the first Beta version of our Domotz Agent Manager for Windows.   It has been completely tested on Windows 10, but it should work also on Windows 8 and Windows 7.   You can download the Agent directly from the following link:   DomotzAgentManager   Note that the application will install an Oracle VM VirtualBox (if not installed yet) and it will download the proper image which contains the Domotz Software. Virtualization option is required to be enabled on the hardware.    For any feedback, issue or concern, please do not hesitate to contact support@domotz.com

We are going to release, in a week or two, a tool that allows you to set up, in a easier way, vlan and static IPs, without having to enter the box, edit  /etc/network/interfaces and so on

The TUI (Text User Interface) is already available on Domotz Boxes/Pi. At the moment, it requires the Box to be connected to an external monitor and keyboard to be accessed.

IHIJI allows a connection to the crestron port required for Crestron Toolbox. They allow you to specify what port you'd like and then they give you a string that allows you to put that into Toolbox to connect directly to the Crestron processor.

How do we do this with Domotz? The ability to connect to the Crestron processor via Toolbox for debugging or code dumps is crucial.

to change the ip address connect to the box locally or thru connect function in app

box ip address and port 3000

example http://192.168.1.30:3000

or on the app create use port 3000

then select network info on tabs of left the edit network settings

this is also where you setup VLANs

This is now possible through the "TCP Connection" button available in the Remote Connection.

Just to give an example for Crestron Toolbox:

  1. Select the Crestron Processor
  2. Go in "Connect" tab
  3. Click on "Create a TCP tunnel"
  4. Insert the Lutron Processor TCP Port. By default "41795"
  5. Wait to have the tunnel setup
  6. You get two informations:
    • Host
    • Port
  7. Open Crestron Toolbox program on your Laptop and:
    • Open a new project
    • Insert the previously retrieved Host/Port to be inserted here (see attachment as an example)
    • Save & Apply
