      Android Domotz Pro App - Push Notifications Issue   03/19/18

      Few Android users have experienced issues with Push Notifications on their mobile Domotz Pro App.   There might be a potential incompatibility with your system: if you feel that you are not receiving Push Notifications when events occur (device status changes, or other alerts), a complete uninstall/install back of the App resolves the issue.   Latest version of the Domotz Pro Android App available is 1.6.11.   The issue was introduced by the version 1.6.10. Even if you are running already version 1.6.11 and you experience issue with the Push Notification on Android, we recommend to completely uninstall the App and install it back.

This change log covers what's changed in Domotz Pro service since previous Release Notes. These changes include Domotz Pro cloud, Domotz Agent and Domotz Pro App.

Since previous Release Notes new versions of Domotz Agent and Domotz Pro App have been released. 

In order to fully exploit the new features, functionalities and bug fixes released, please make sure you have installed the latest version of


  • Domotz Pro Mobile App: check on Apple Store or Google Play. Latest version as of today is 1.6.8
  • Domotz Agent: check on Domotz Portal under the subscription tab. Latest version as per today is 1.8.0
  • Violet Digital Support: check on Apple Store or Google Play. Latest version as of today is 2.6.5
  • Domotz Pro WebApp and Portal are already updated to the latest version

What's new:

  • Agent Plans: Domotz Pro users can now choose between two different service plans for their agents: Standard or Advanced.
  • Advanced plan has been introduced: this plan is oriented to customer with specific needs. E.g. higher traffic limits on Remote Connections, additional Eyes to monitor SNMP and TCP Services, extended monitoring on Layer 3 subnets (VPN-Connected networks or routed subnets), external Hostname/IP Monitoring, Wi-Fi extended Access Point monitoring, etc
  • Violet Included in Standard plan: The Violet customer-facing app and features are now included in the Domotz Pro Standard Plan for no extra fee
  • Dummy Devices: Domotz Pro users can add a non-IP-connected device (i.e. Dummy Device) to a PDU or smart outlet to enable simple, easy power management. Support for Dummy is included in the Standard plan. Dummy Devices can be used in the Violet App (version 2.6.5+)
  • External Private Subnet Scan: With Private Subnet Scans (included in Domotz Pro Advanced), Domotz Pro users can monitor a Layer 3 subnet of a VPN-connected LAN or other connected subnet. With subnet scanning, you can monitor:
    • Modems and/or routers on different subnets
    • Networks and network devices routed on different subnets
    • Multiple sites or buildings connected via VPN

Domotz Pro user can add up to 8 different class C subnets to any single Agent.

  • External Public Hostname/IP: External Hostname/IP monitoring (included in Domotz Pro Advanced) allows Domotz Pro users to monitor devices anywhere on the web, such as:
    • Your own website (or another)
    • An off-site server
    • An external TCP service such as VoIP, FTP, etc.

Domotz Pro user can add up to 5 different external public IP/Hostnames to be monitored.

  • Wi-Fi extended Access Point Monitoring: with Wi-Fi AP Monitoring (included in Domotz Pro Advanced), Domotz Pro users get simple, hassle-free, superior monitoring of access points and connected clients to:
    • Monitor signal strength and noise level of APs by channel
    • Monitor signal strength of connected clients
    • Monitor access point traffic/hardware utilization
    • Reboot individual access points with a tap, and more 

Wi-Fi AP Monitoring is now available for Ruckus support first. List of Wi-Fi Access Point supported here


  • Ruckus Zone Director: included in the list of supported devices for enhanced Wi-Fi monitoring 
  • Power Control (On/Off) available through Violet: Customers can now control power of devices connected to PoE switches or PDU, through the mean of Violet (previously only "Restart" device was available through the mean of the Power Control) 
  • D-Tools enabled globally: D-Tools tile is now available on all the Agents for the entire Team when it is enabled globally for the Team. Team Master can enable D-Tools from the Portal, under Account --> Utility Integration


  • Alert Daily Digest OverNight TimeWindow can now be configure from all timezones
  • Important/Offline shortcut not working on filtered Agent List
  • Switch Network non-PoE interfaces were shown sometimes erroneously as PoE
  • New Domotz Agent can now be activated also when there is only credit available

Known limitations:

  • Eyes configured for deleted devices affect the total counting of Eyes
  • Devices with multiple network interfaces (multiple MAC address) can't be merged into single device
  • Field Operators can't set alerts on Domotz Eyes (SNMP Custom OID and TCP Services monitoring)
