Windows Domotz Agent Manager - Available to be downloaded   08/02/18

We are glad to announce that we have completed the development of the first Beta version of our Domotz Agent Manager for Windows.   It has been completely tested on Windows 10, but it should work also on Windows 8 and Windows 7.   You can download the Agent directly from the following link:   DomotzAgentManager   Note that the application will install an Oracle VM VirtualBox (if not installed yet) and it will download the proper image which contains the Domotz Software. Virtualization option is required to be enabled on the hardware.    For any feedback, issue or concern, please do not hesitate to contact support@domotz.com

Not seeing all devices on network.

3 posts in this topic

Hello

I have just installed the agent on my QNAP and it is scanning my network. I have a 10.10.X.X network. The devices that receive an IP from the DHCP server are not showing up, only those devices that have a permanent IP. Is there something I need to do in the configuration to get all the devices to show up?

Thanks

I just installed the QNAP agent as well and my scan is seeing both DHCP and fixed IP devices other than my Ring Doorbell - it detected it but reports it offline.  I use my Ring app and all appears to be normal.  Other device drops (iPhone) seem accurate so far.  Was wondering if there is a problem with the Ring device - curiously - I can't seem to trace or "see" the ring device with my IP Scanner (which may back up what Domotz is telling me).  The Ring is connected via wireless network but is a hardwired doorbell.

The scan, on every single subnet (or VLANs) is limited to a /22 range (MASK 255.255.252.0) around the QNAP IP Address. This has been done to avoid too many broadcast messages on the network. Note that with any single subnet supported, you can monitor up to 1024 IP devices. And you can add multiple VLANs and Level 3 subnets.

My recommendation, if you don't need a Class B network, is to configure the network as Class C (or larger to /22) and have the devices you want to monitor in that range.

Is it possible that the Ring is behind a WiFi network extender (Layer 3 only)?
