Domotz Pro feature parity with Fingbox

As a matter of fact you should see them as two distinct services, that can run also in the same box. What domotz has hat fingboes does not have, I understand is clear to you. What Domotz does not have are wifi-specific features. Infact domotz, as an RMM tool is expected to run on wired devices (for instance the Domotz box does not even have a wifi chip). For anyone that loves both the tools I would definitely recommend to buy a fingbox (one-off, no subsciption) and then additionally activate a domotz subscription on it.

    Attach Photos to a device

Dear Scott, this is a very nice idea. Our team is currently working on the possibility to attach generic files to Agent and to specific Device within that Agent. Therefore, it will be definitely possible to attach photo of the device or the rack, or even of the WAP for its location. But you will also be allowed to attach for example an Excel file or Document with information about the specific site/network. All data properly encrypted.
  4. would be great to be able to attach a photo to a device. Even a library of photos This would be a huge help to take photo of a WAP for instance so you know its exact location. Or photo of a rack with all the equipment in it and link it to multiple devices.

Domotz Pro feature parity with Fingbox

Thanks for the update. The unfortunate part though is the lack of multi VLAN support on the Fingbox. I know what Domotz has that Fingbox does not...what I'm really wondering, if I cannot get a line by line comparison of features, is what security features does Fingbox have that Domotz does not? Thanks!
  6. Thanks Henrique, I was sneaky and posted my question here on purpose because I thought it could be useful to others as a reference. Looking forward to your email. Cheers, -EMB
  7. Hi @eembee, There is no difference on the hardware however the SD image contains the provisioning channel software. I'm sending you an link to download the latest image so you can replace the SD Card on this unit. For requests like this you can also contact us on our support channel: support@domotz.com. Kind Regards, Henrique Salvador Domotz Support
  8. Unfortunately we haven't had anyone providing access to those Routers yet. As stated above, some users in the past were able to configure the Domotz Agent on them, but it required an USB drive for the storage to be mounted on.

    03/13 - 2019 Release Notes

This change log covers what's changed in Domotz Pro service since previous Release Notes. These changes include Domotz Pro cloud, Domotz Agent and Domotz Pro App. Since previous Release Notes new versions of Domotz Agent and Domotz Pro App have been released. March 13rd, 2019 In order to fully exploit the new features, functionalities and bug fixes released, please make sure you have installed the latest version of Domotz Pro Mobile App: check on Apple Store or Google Play. Latest version as of today is 1.12.0 Domotz Agent: check on Domotz Portal under the subscription tab. Latest Agent version as of today is 2.4.4 Violet Digital Support: check on Apple Store or Google Play. Latest version as of today is 2.6.7 Domotz Pro WebApp and Portal are already updated to the latest version What's new: Shared Alerts and webhook: with Shared Alerts, Domotz users can now define events for which the entire team would like to receive notifications either through emails or webhooks. Users can define alert profiles which can be applied either to devices or agents indifferently by any member of the team so that they are shared across the whole team. For example, this functionality can be used if the user is planning to feed alerts into a ticketing system or if he wants to send email alerts to an email address which is not configured as an account within Domotz Pro. This capability is available on Agents configured with the Premium Plan. Define a shared alert profile: It is now possible to create an Alert Profile using the available device or agent events already available within Domotz Pro (Agent disconnection, Device Online/Offline, Device Heartbeat, etc). Within the profile, users can also define the recipients which should be notified for those events either in the form of email addresses or webhooks. The Alert Profiles created will be shared across the whole team and can be modified in the case something changes in the team or infrastructure. Receive event notifications either through email or webhook: when the defined event occurs, users can be notified either through one or more email addresses (even if those email address are not connected to a Domotz Pro account) or by defining a URL where you want to receive an HTTP callback (webhooks). Associate the Alert Profile to specific devices or Agent: Once the shared alert profile has been defined, users can assign that profile to specific devices or Agents. If, for any reason, the user need to change destination email address or URL for the HTTP callback (webhooks), he can just change the alert profile configuration once, and that will be applied to all the devices and Agents associated with that shared alert profile. Every single member of the team will have access to the alert profiles, to make the Alert configuration easier and shared across the whole team. Improvements: Device Response Time: this feature is now available to 99% of the Domotz Agent packages available for all the architectures (including Synology and QNAP NAS, Raspberry with SNAP package, Windows Agent, etc). Premium plan is required. Fix: Public API: Datetime in filter parameters don't accept timezone. Documentation fixed. Public API: missing X-API-Key in access control. Due to the issue the usage of Public API was limited on some programming languages CyberSecurity feature: a wrong icon was shown when UPnP scan was paused Known limitations: Eyes configured for deleted devices affect the total counting of Eyes Devices with multiple network interfaces (multiple MAC address) can't be merged into single device Field Operators can't set alerts on Domotz Eyes (SNMP Custom OID and TCP Services monitoring) Static IP address on the Domotz Box cannot be configured before configuring the Agent Multiple Devices logically connected to a Managed Switch Port: in case of WiFi AP connected to a switch port, the information is not available at the WiFi AP info __________________________________________________ Few screenshots related to the new functionalities: Define a shared alert profile: Configured Shared Alert profiles in the Portal: Define a new Shared Alert profile: Associate the Alert profile to specific devices or Agent: Associate the profile to a specific device: Change profile for the specific device: Associate the profile to a specific agent:

  11. Hi, One of my monitors is a Domotz-Pi (the old pre-packaged Domotz Raspberry Pi). The SD card seems to now be corrupted. Is there a special image I should start from or do I just reinstall this from scratch as a third-party Raspberry Pi box? Is there any difference between the Domotz-Pi and a third-party Raspberry Pi box + Domotz package? (Beyond the logo 😉 ) Thanks.
  12. True-Aspect - Did you ever get this to work? Domotz - Did you ever get access to this router to test? Looking to get this working on their routers.

    Intellinet PDU

Hi Georgi I don't have one, just wanted to see. I've had an email back from the manufacturer, they seem to only work via the built in Web page (albeit that's better than nothing) so don't think it can be integrated via Domotz other than creating a connection via http.

    Intellinet PDU

Hi, we have added it to our integrations backlog and will let you know once we have the resources to start it. Also, when we begin the investigations and development, would it be possible to provide us access to a network with one such device (VPN or a collaboration via a Domotz agent)?

Domotz Pro feature parity with Fingbox

Hi, yes they are two distinct produts meant for different purposes. Fingbox more for consumer self-troubleshooting. Domotz for professional remote management, monitoring and support of customers. Also please oe that the Domotz box itself does not have wifi features The good news is: if you buy a fingbox, you can also activate Domotz Pro there without buying any additional hardware. If you have already a Fingbox have a try, you can enable Domotz Pro from within the fing app! In this way you can get the best of both.

    Delete multiple offline /old devices

HI Can you add my vote to this request as well. Really want it. I'd like to be able to set a stale record property i.e auto delete devices not seen in last x days/months
  20. https://intellinetnetwork.eu/intellinet-en-19-intelligent-8-port-pdu-163682.html Anyone used these before? Seems pretty cheap £139 on amazon. Not sure if there's any external control, just webpage, but if you could at least get to that through Domotz....

Domotz Pro feature parity with Fingbox

Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing the Domotz Box but I couldn't find anything definitive that covers a line by line comparison of features, especially the security ones, between Domotz Pro and the Fingbox. I'd like to see where or if there are any differences so I can determine if Domotz Pro is the way to go because some features I may not want to live without. Thank you in advance for any feedback here!

Devices Showing Offline when They are Online

Please provide the MAC address of the Domotz Box experiencing that issue to the Support team (support@domotz.com). They will be able to check that. Make sure the Box is getting a valid IP on the network and it is able to communicate on Internet.

Devices Showing Offline when They are Online

I am noticing some of the same except my Portal tells me that the "Yogo Inn" has been offline for 5 hours but in fact everything is up. I have power cycled the Domotz box yet it still shows as down for x hours. What can I do?
