Xant 1
Agent re-installed in QNAP (after long time "dormant"). Retrieved old data through account, but not updated as expected.... wrong mixed IP/MAC devices. Even if I disconnect the wrongful devices, delete and plug back again... it comes back wrong (like having "bad memory"). Everything identified correctly through Fing, though... but not through Domotz. It's there a way to force the agent to re-scan the whole network, or reset? Thanks, Xant
Giancarlo 52
Thanks for the input Xant. If you don't care about the historical data, you can cleanup the whole Agent Data from the Portal -> Subscription -> Edit: I hope this helps.
Xant 1
Giancarlo This opened a total different "Pandora box". After Claneup Agent Data, and wait a few hours, nothing was found or updated in the network besides the Router and the NAS where the Agent was installed. Then, since no re-scan is really happening, may I have to delete the agent and start over.... BIG mistake... besides new Agent appeared in my Legacy account, now been charged twice ($38.00) instead of my Legacy account. Please, retrieve my account to Legacy, cancel extra charges and let's start reset Agent again (don't care for the history). Thanks, Xant
Giancarlo 52
Can you please contact our support@domotz.com? In this way we can look into your account for that. Thanks, Giancarlo
Xant 1
Giancarlo Apologies for mixing Tech and Account issues (but all came together). Just to let you know, that Support was prompt and already adjusted Account issues (thanks to Henrique Salvador). Also, per Support@domotz response: " I'm seeing the logs from your agent and the agent is not able to get the devices MAC Address, as we use is to identify devices no devices are being created: "2020-05-14T00:31:58.487Z (9646) [I] IP_DISCOVERY - 0 END OF IP network devices discovery ", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.493Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.124>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.498Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.146>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.512Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.144>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.533Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.125>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.587Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.108>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.591Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.131>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.592Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.131>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.593Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.131>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.594Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.131>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.603Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.146>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.604Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.146>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.606Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.146>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.614Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.144>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.615Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.144>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.628Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.152>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.628Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.152>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.679Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.150>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.680Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.150>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.873Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.130>", "2020-05-14T00:31:58.877Z (9646) [W] BONJOUR - Cannot find MAC address for device with IP <192.168.1.130>", ... Check any filter in the network that would be blocking the agent (the QNAP in your case). We use some ARP pings to identify devices at the network." Domotz in QNAP use to work at no issue, but now (per above feedback) back to research and try to identify issue. In case of not fixing this behaviour, would be Ok to try to install Agent in a RPi4 in same network and see if performs (without creating any further account problems)? Xant 1
Giancarlo After some tweaking, things seems back to "normalcy". I can not say for sure, but culprit so far seems QNAP "Virtual Switch", which was automatically created and for long giving me difficulties (now deleted). Thank you once again for your support. Besides difficulties, I learned a bit further on agent cleanup, reset, etc... Best, Xant
