Domotz for Synology not running

How do you get Domotz going? I installed the package and then tried to open it. It then forwards me to port 3000, but no service is running there. I also tried it via the IP, in case the service was configured incorrectly ... it does not work via IP either. Unfortunately there is no interface to make any settings and the Domotz page doesn't help either ...

Hi Michael and thanks for your interest in Domotz.

 

most likely you have installed the Domotz Agent using a remote connection to thee Synology. If this is the case, can you please try configuring it when on the same network as the Synology?

No, i can only access my DSM from my local network, so there was no remote connection involved. But i am accessing it via hostname (internal DNS resolves the host to its local IP)
