LFalkenburg 12
Some device went offline. After their status was restored to online, the agent didn't recognize it. We are able to ping the device from the agent-VM. Neither restarting the agent nor the whole VMWare helps. Any suggestions?
j0nz 5
I had the same issue and logged a support call. Here is the response Quote We have experienced this issue during the weekend, due to a major upgrade deployment occurred on Friday. Basically, some of the calls from the Domotz Agent to our backend were not working under particular circumstances, which resulted in having a misalignment in our system: you could get the device ONLINE, but with the last event in the History as an Heartbeat lost, or viceversa. Moreover, you could not receive the Alert "Device UP" (or Down) on that one device. Please note that we have fixed the situation from now on. It means that for a device going offline and than back online, you will get the notifications (and history) for both the events. Perhaps log a support call to get assistance. Giancarlo 49
Hi Jose, Can you please check the status of the Domotz Agent on the Raspberry Pi? From the screenshot it seems it is switched off (not running) on the Raspberry Pi. This is a different case. Some device with multiple network interfaces (different MAC address). Might appear offline when switching from one interface to the other. E.g. a device with an eth cable and a wi-fi. If you are monitoring the MAC address of the wi-fi, and then the device switches off the wi-fi and enable the cable, you will see that MAC address off. We do monitoring based on MAC address, but there is no automatic way to aggregate two different MAC address together to be shown as a single device. Though, we will add in the future the possibility to manually aggregate those two.
