Home-Assistant has API for everything they connect to

You can leverage Home Automation dashboard Home-Assistant to get status and be able to control a vast amount of components:

Basically you can connect directly to Home-Assistant's API and leverage them to give you access to all of the items that are above.  I do this to make all of those items exposed to homekit which helps me out wonderfully.
