Replace Agent?

Hi, 

 

I have the RasPi Domotz box, but now I just got myself a QNap NAS, and have installed the Domotz Agent on it.. 

 

Is there an easy way of migrating to the new hardware, or will I have to start from scratch?

I will probably reuse the RasPi box sometime in the future, but I do not know when,

so I also need to move the licence over to the QNap. Is this possible?

Just contact support@domotz.com. At the moment this is not possible to be managed by yourself (as a self-service). They will manage this request for you. Please provide the MAC address of the QNAP you want to move your current agent configuration on.

As this thread is from 2016, has this feature been added yet? or do we still need to go through support when we need to make a change like this?

It is still managed through Support, as per the guide here:

 

https://help.domotz.com/user-guide/move-domotz-to-new-hardware/

 

However, the procedure is usually very smooth. Support takes care of the data and the license.

Has this been FIXED yet?  I'm having to do this today, Easter Sunday, and now that site's Domotz is offline and I'm sure support isn't working today....

if you have contacted Support on Easter Sunday, you might have noticed that the support was able to assist with your request. Please, let us know if this was not the case.

Yes, response was quite swift, which was appreciated.  Thanks!

 

It's still odd that they need to be involved.  Seems like a lot of overhead for domotz.
