This change log covers what's changed in Domotz Pro service since previous Release Notes. These changes include Domotz Pro cloud, Domotz Agent and Domotz Pro App.

Since previous Release Notes new versions of Domotz Agent and Domotz Pro App have been released.

In order to fully exploit the new features, functionalities and bug fixes released, please make sure you have installed the latest version of

 

  • Domotz Pro Mobile App: check on Apple Store or Google Play. Latest version as of today is 1.7.10
  • Domotz Agent: check on Domotz Portal under the subscription tab. Latest Agent version as per today is 2.0.4
  • Violet Digital Support: check on Apple Store or Google Play. Latest version as of today is 2.6.7
  • Domotz Pro WebApp and Portal are already updated to the latest version

 

What's new:

  • Secure Connections to ONVIF based IP Cameras: it is now possible to create secure connections to get Image Snapshots or short real-time Video Streaming out of any IP Camera based on the ONVIF methodology. Through the same mechanism Installers can now review IP Camera Video Profiles or Capabilities. It is also possible to send a soft-reboot command to the IP Camera. This is available on the Advanced Plan
  • Device IP Address Changes are now tracked: when the IP address of a a monitored device changes, the activity is reported in the History tab of the Device itself
  • Alert on Device IP Address Changes: it is now possible to configure an Alert (push notification or email) on the event of Device IP Address changes. This is useful when a certain device is expected to have always the same IP address (Static IP), but for a reason it gets a different IP address (e.g. Firmware version upgrade, issue with the lease on the DHCP server, etc). This is available on the Advanced Plan
  • Alert on Network Performances (Speed Test results): it is now possible to configure an Alert (push notification or email) on the results of Speed Tests (thresholds on Download and Upload results), whenever network performances fall below/ go back to normal

 

Improvements:

  • Ruckus - new configuration supported: Ruckus Unleashed configured in Master/Slave mode is now supported with Advanced Plan
  • New supported PoE switches: Netgear GC728X have been added to the list of supported PoE switches which can be controlled directly from the Domotz UI 
  • Middle Atlantic PDU Model Retrieval: model identification has been implemented for Middle Atlantic PDUs
  • Device History Restyle: the History tab for the device (containing the history of device connectivity to the network 
  • Network Health Analysis - Downtime: the WAN connectivity history (related to the Domotz Agent connectivity to the Cloud) have been extended to the last month of activities. A new style for the list of Connection Lost/Recovered is now used, with an How To section which provides details on the monitoring mechanism
  • Alert Management UI Restyle: a new and more intuitive UI for the Alert Management tile. Global network Alert tab has been added to the Network Health Analysis to facilitate the configuration of Speed Test alerts.  

Fix:

  • Control4 Controller Identification Timeout: fix on the recognition of the C4 Controller due to a longer timeout
  • New user can now leverage the Trial license for the Fingbox - Domotz Pro Agents
  • Mikorik PoE Domotz driver was reporting a a wrongly default password usage

Known limitations:

  • Eyes configured for deleted devices affect the total counting of Eyes
  • Devices with multiple network interfaces (multiple MAC address) can't be merged into single device
  • Field Operators can't set alerts on Domotz Eyes (SNMP Custom OID and TCP Services monitoring)

  • Static IP address on the Domotz Box cannot be configured before configuring the Agent

  • External monitoring of public and private subnets might not work properly on Raspberry Pi installations

  • Multiple Devices logically connected to a Managed Switch Port: in case of WiFi AP connected to a switch port, the information is not available at the WiFi AP info
