just1Rick 0 Posted January 12, 2019 Report Share Posted January 12, 2019 I recently decided to try Domotz on my Fingbox, but am unable to activate it. My symptom is that I go into the subscriptions tab of the portal, see the Fingbox, and click activate. Unfortunately, even after 10 minutes, I still get the error "We are sorry, but the Agent is not yet installed. Please try again in a few minutes." It's been more than 10 minutes, but is there any way to tell if the agent installation is successful? Anything else I need to check out? I've already tried power cycling my Fingbox and also uninstalling and reinstalling the Domotz agent via the Fing app on my phone. Thanks, Rick Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Giancarlo 53 Posted January 12, 2019 Report Share Posted January 12, 2019 Unfortunately, it seems like the latest package of the Domotz Pro agent has some issue in installing correctly on some Fingbox. Our engineering team is already working on the resolution of this issue. We will update this thread as soon as the root cause of the issue is resolved. I appreciate your patience. That said, thanks for your support! Henrique was able to get the agent installed and it's collecting now. I'm still playing with it, but thanks again for your support. I've been trying for about an hour now - same error message. As it's now January 2020, I'm guessing that I may be seeing a different isue from @just1Rick? Related note: the web page seems to time out silently, so at times I've been clicking Activate without realizing that I was (presumably) logged out. After logging back in, though, the situation was the same. Just a heads up that this login issue could create support calls for one problem when the real cause was unrelated... probably should pop up a "you've tined out" dialogue so admins are aware that the connection to the site is no longer live. chippie 0 Posted January 22, 2020 Report Share Posted January 22, 2020 This was a year old thread but it looks like the issue is either that old and ongoing or reared its ugly head again! I have the exact same issue on TWO different Fingboxes on two different/seperate networks at home. Seems to install ok, allows you to activate and immediately goes to 'Inactive'! Not overly happy as am half way through my eval period to see if I want to go all in for the full service on all my Fingboxes but just not able to even get the agent to run on a Fingbox. I know there is no network issue as was able to activate an agent on a different device without issue. There is clearly an issue and would be grateful for any suggestons please? TY!
